Angie Weinberger
Angie Weinberger should receive the Diversity Ally Award for her exceptional dedication and impact in the field of diversity and inclusion. As a committed coach and mentor, Angie has shown a profound passion for human interaction and growth. Her guidance has been instrumental in helping individuals, including myself, discover and pursue their passions. Through her mentorship, I found my passion for inclusive content creation. Angie’s approach goes beyond professional coaching; she fosters an environment of understanding, respect, and inclusivity. Her contributions have significantly advanced the cause of diversity, making her a deserving candidate for this award.
Mara Catherine Harvey
Mara is a publicly recognized figure, no words can just simply describe her. She impersonates a Diversity Ally, Globally. A little snapshot of her outstanding career here.
Marianne Temerowski
Marianne is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, and a leader that truly embodies diversity, both personally and professionally. As People Lead for Data, Analytics and AI at Swisscom, Marianne leads a team of over 120 with a remarkable commitment to establish conditions for women to thrive in her team. Her dedication shines through not just in company initiatives, but also in her unwavering personal support for her team members and beyond.
With her work as a People Lead, Marianne strives to create an inclusive and warm environment by addressing aspects like psychological safety and mental health support, reducing negative stress and nurturing an atmosphere of collaboration and appreciation.
Her most impressive characteristic though is her deep and genuine personal care for her team members, particularly women. She’s the best sparring partner for women for any work related issue, be it career progress, finding purpose at work, self-doubt as a woman in a male-dominated world, work-life balance, time-management issues related to family etc. With her wisdom, knowledge and experience, she’s always there to offer concrete tips to solve a problem, give personalised feedback and self-development ideas, and share wise words of encouragement and empowerment. She graciously holds space for women while they navigate challenging personal and professional situations and cheers them along the way.
Outside of her main role, Marianne is a Diversity Co-lead and a founding member of the WoMen Empowerment community in Swisscom. She helped the community grow from a handful to 800 people, and has been one of the main organisers of various internal events on women empowerment, leadership skills, negotiation etc. She also kick-started an active mentoring program within the community, sometimes personally jumping in to create a match between a mentor and a mentee.
Marianne’s engagement as women ally goes even further with various activities she does on a voluntary basis. In the past 5 years, she has helped over 100 women to kick-start or advance their career in tech with career advice, recommendations and connecting them to relevant people and job opportunities. As a true diversity champion, she has done this as well for refugees, people with disabilities or in disadvantaged age groups. She has been acting as a mentor in leadership topics to many women in and outside of Swisscom. She’s a regular speaker at tech conferences: with her talks on people leadership, she advocates about how important it is to give everyone, women and men with different backgrounds, an environment where they feel they belong. She’s also a member of the Swiss organisations “Women for the Board” and “Working Moms Switzerland”.
