Susanna Tron
In her role as an Analytics Specialist and Knowledge Engineer, she has been working in the area of digitization and process automation with a strong focus on natural language processing (NLP). Prior to that, Susanna worked as a computational linguist for Roche Diagnostics in the domain of technical documentation and semantic search. She holds a specialized master’s degree in multilingual computational linguistics from the University of Zurich.
Patricia Egger
Patricia is a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services team where she focuses on data protection and blockchain security. She is also leading Deloitte Switzerland’s Women in Cyber initiative. Originally, she studied math and wrote her thesis in aeronautics and astronautics. It was a course in high school about cryptography that introduced her to the world of cyber security, and she is so glad to be there today.
Jen Jen Chung
Jen Jen Chung is a Senior Researcher in the Autonomous Systems Lab at ETH Zürich. Her current research interests include learning for multi-robot coordination and risk-aware planning for applications such as robot navigation through human crowds. This builds on her past work at Oregon State University and the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, which focused on the development of information-based exploration strategies to characterize the exploration-exploitation trade-off within resource-constrained learning missions. She received her Ph.D. (2014) and B.E. (2010) from the University of Sydney.
Carolyn Mattes-O’Brien
A graduate of MIT and a Ph.D. candidate at ETH, Carolyn has 8 years of industry experience as both a product engineer and research engineer. Her job alongside her Ph.D. research is for a company that was a start-up but has made the successful transition to being a Small-Medium Enterprise, which she has been a long-term employee during that transition. By studying and working in both Europe and the United States, she has experienced firsthand how different cultures and industries can affect women in tech.
