Collaborative learning and mutual support!
For us at Zürcher Kantonalbank, the coding dojo is a fast collaboration tool where we can strengthen key values such as communication, confidence, and teamwork. This interactive workshop is aimed at women who want to improve their coding skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
A coding dojo is a safe space where participants work together in small groups to solve coding challenges and learn from each other. They are there to have fun, to engage with others and to improve their skills. We value passion and lifelong learning, which is why our ‘IT made in Chreis 5’ strives to bring new impulses to the community and connect to bring more benefits to everyone.
Goals of the workshop:
- Promote collaborative learning and mutual support
- Improve the coding skills of participants
- Create a network of women in the technology industry
- Increase participants’ self-confidence in dealing with programming tasks
Agenda:
Welcome and introduction
Explanation of the process and objectives.
Coding Dojo
The participants are divided into small groups and work on different coding challenges. The groups take turns presenting their solutions and discussing alternative approaches.
Conclusion and Q&A
Summary of learning content, open questions and feedback round.
Prerequisites:
- Basic programming skills (Java or Python)

WS02 – From Belonging to Impact

This workshop invites participants on a journey from understanding belonging to creating real impact within diverse tech teams. Rooted in the philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because we are” – and guided by principles such as belonging is to the team, not the role, this session offers a space for reflection, dialogue, and action.
Through interactive activities and collaborative exercises, including the use of a simplified Team Canvas, participants will:
- Reflect on what belonging means in a team context.
- Explore strategies for building inclusive, psychologically safe environments.
- Identify practical steps to strengthen team purpose, values, and collaboration.
- Designed for anyone passionate about diversity, inclusion, and building high-impact teams, this workshop equips attendees with tools and insights they can apply immediately in their organisations.
The workshop will take place in English, but we are also open to German.

Dive into the world of fashion AI! This hands-on workshop explores the power and potential of multimodal LLM-based chatbots, using Europe’s leading online fashion platform’s assistant as a real-world case study. Following a brief introduction to the technology, you will join a team to tackle a challenge mirroring the daily work of AI product and data science teams. We welcome participants from all backgrounds to bring their diverse perspectives to solve real problems.
You will choose one of five tasks:
(1) Product Management: Act as a product manager to analyse the current user experience, identify pain points, and create a roadmap for improvement.
(2) Data Analysis: Become a data detective, analysing product metadata to identify the crucial attributes needed to answer complex user queries.
(3) ML Clustering: Explore and visualise product data, proposing the best clustering methods to improve recommendations.
(4) Query Analysis: Investigate patterns in user search queries to understand where the AI succeeds and where it fails.
(5) Model Fine-Tuning: Experience the impact of fine-tuning an embedding model on domain-specific data to improve search relevance.
Join us to collaborate, learn, and co-create the future of fashion technology. If you are passionate about fine-tuning and post-training, we will have a great use case to work on together.
