Ten Reasons to Disconnect This Holiday

by | Dec 21, 2018 | Career Advice | 0 comments

1. Taking time off makes you more productive

Working 60-hour work weeks for 2 months causes a decrease in your productivity equivalent to working 40-hour weeks in the first place! It’s just good sense to take it easy. 😇

2. Your brain has work to do when it’s not working

Your brain has important processing to do when it’s in a ‘rest’ state. This processing has been linked to better memory and problem solving! #Winning

3. Resting helps you love your job

Yup, scientists have proven that workers who take real breaks have higher job satisfaction and stay at a company for longer. So, do you want to do what you love? Then take a break ! Don’t need to tell me twice…

4. Your performance ratings will improve !

Ernst & Young proved that for every extra 10 hours of holiday taken, employees get 8% better ratings! Kinda makes sense– shows you’re being efficient and you got it dooown!

5. A change of scene makes you more creative

Yup, improve associative and idea-generating skills by getting out of your routine and into free-spirit mode. There’s a good excuse to go somewhere exotic if there ever was one. Paris, mon chéri ?

Anddd… since the TechFace. team are taking a break too, we’ll stop here. These are all good enough reason right? Well, they’re good enough reason for team TechFace to take a break.

Enjoy, wonderful people !

xoxo Stefany & Priska
