Did you know that January 17th is known as the “Ditch New Year’s Resolution Day”?

Well, if you haven’t already, maybe now it’s a good day to reevaluate the somewhat tipsy goals you made while you were partying and focus on actual goals that you can achieve. Forget about SMART goals for a second. We all want them to be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-based but when it comes to planning your career, all these guidelines lead us to very narrow planning. They’re useful if you’re listing fitness goals or planning on dealing with the mess in your cupboard (you know who you are).
