Goal #5: Filter Advice From Others

Most advice is delivered with good intentions — but it’s not always useful and better than to pile it up in your head, and sometimes add that to your insecurities, we should start sorting it out into what we take in consideration and what we should toss. Everyone has something to say about what you should be doing, sometimes learning to trust your gut is key! Don’t forget, what “your gut’s telling you” is basically a cocktail of everything you learned and lived so far, and there’s value in that, even if it’s not something you can add to your CV.

Putting it in perspective:

· Seek advice from respected professionals or people who are proficient in the area: Would you ask for make up advice to someone who doesn’t even know how to apply lipstick? Enough said.

· Advice should come from non-biased sources: the same way your momma thinks you’re the best, your nemesis (or at least a person that you tend to clash frequently) might not have your best interest in mind when giving feedback.

· Use what you know to make better use of advice: read the part about trusting your gut again!

These are our #GoalDigger tips for 2019. Do you think these are achievable? Is there something you think we should also add to the list? What are your goals for this yeat? Are you a #GoalDigger? We look forward to your comments and insights.
